There are two Sunday School groups. They take place during the first part of the 9am Mass, and two parents are on duty in each class. The class for 2–4 year olds is held in the Gill Room, and the one for 5–7 year olds in the Kelly Room. Children from both classes return to Mass at the Offertory.
PLEASE - we need more parents to help with the Sunday school classes at the 9am Mass! This would entail taking a lesson or two each term. Lessons are planned and you would be given a guide. There are always two parents on duty. Your help would be greatly appreciated! Please speak to Kim or Wendy or email us (see below).
Heavenly Father, when your only begotten Son Jesus Christ rose from the dead, he commissioned his followers to “go and make disciples of all nations” and you remind us that through our Baptism we are made sharers in the mission of the Church. Empower us by the gifts of the Holy Spirit to be courageous and zealous in bearing witness to the Gospel, so that the mission entrusted to the Church, which is still very far from completion, may find new and efficacious expressions that bring life and light to the world. Help us make it possible for all peoples to experience the saving love and mercy of Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, One God, forever and ever. Amen.

We thank you, God our Father, for those who have responded to our call to priestly ministry. Accept this prayer we offer on their behalf: Fill your priests with the sure knowledge of your love. Open their hearts to the power and consolation of the Holy Spirit. Lead them to new depths of union with your Son. Increase in them profound faith in the Sacraments they celebrate as they nourish, strengthen and heal us. Lord Jesus Christ, grant that these, your priests, may inspire us to strive for holiness by the power of their example, as men of prayer who ponder your word and follow your will. O Mary, Mother of Christ and our mother, guard with your maternal care these chosen ones, so dear to the Heart of your Son. Intercede for our priests, that offering the Sacrifice of your Son, they may be conformed more each day to the image of your Son, our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Amen

Oh, Heavenly Father, make me a better parent. Teach me to understand my children, to listen patiently to what they have to say, and to answer all their questions kindly.
Keep me from interrupting them or contradicting them. Make me as courteous to them as I would have them be to me. Forbid that I should ever laugh at their mistakes or resort to shame or ridicule when they displease me.
May I never punish them for my own selfish satisfaction or to show my power. Let me not tempt my child to lie or steal.
And guide me hour by hour that I may demonstrate by all I say and do that honesty produces happiness.
Reduce, I pray, the meanness in me. And when I am out of sorts, help me, O Lord, to hold my tongue.
May I ever be mindful that my children are children and I should not expect of them the judgement of adults.
Let me not rob them of the opportunity to wait on themselves and make decisions.
Bless me with the bigness to grant them all their reasonable requests, and the courage to deny them privileges I know will do them harm.
Make me fair and just and kind.
And fit me, O Lord, to be loved and respected and imitated by my children. Amen.
'The Archdiocesan Child Safeguarding Policy, promulgated in October 2015 seeks to support this celebration of life and to guide us in our interactions with the children and youth entrusted to our care.
This Policy states that: Each child shall be cherished and affirmed as a gift from God with an inherent right to dignity of life and bodily integrity which shall be respected, nurtured and protected by all.
1.1. The Archdiocese is committed to safeguarding all children who interact with the Church; Should you wish to read the full policy you can access it on the Archdiocesan website at http://adct.org.za/child-safeguarding-policy-resources/
Our Parish Council has adopted the Child Safeguarding Policy and has begun the implementation of the policy in 2017 through ensuring that all those who are required to have the necessary clearance to minister in the parish have done so. This is an ongoing process and will be repeated each year. The contact details of the Archdiocesan Contact persons are on display in the Parish Centre and the the Church Foyer.'
